Very nice oil for motorcycles and atv's
Most motorcycles and ATV's require an oil that is formulated for a Wet Clutch. This oil fits the ticket perfectly. It stands up to the Mobil1 reputation and my ATV's and motorcycles shift smoother with this oil than with non-synthetic oil. Considering the extended wear and oil change times, this oil is very much worth what it costs.

The only oil I will use in my bike
Mobile 1 Racing 4T is the only oil I will ever use in my bikes. The advanced synthetic formula provides excellent protection and it causes my bike to shift smoother than any other oil. Yes, you pay a little more than you would for dino-oil but it is cheap insurance!

Happy with purchase
Seems counter intuitive to purchase fluids online, but once I started ordering Mobil 1 products on Amazon, I haven't looked back. I have 2 bikes and 2 cars and use Mobil 1 on all of them for everything - engine oil, diff fluids, tranny fluids etc.Amazon prices are great, 2 day shipping on prime makes it a no brainer as opposed to going to the shop.

Motor oil is made from crude oil and is used to lubricate, clean, and cool engines. Types of motor oil include conventional, synthetic, diesel, bio-based, hybrid (blends of conventional and synthetic), and recycled oils. Motor oil varies in weight and viscosity, as well as additives that some manufacturers add to the oil during the refining process. A numerical code system created by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) grades motor oils according to viscosity--the higher the number between 0 and 60, the more viscous (thicker) the oil is. Most consumer motor oils are graded by two numbers, with the first number indicating cold weather (Winter or "W") performance.

SAE 10W-40

This oil has a weight of SAE 10W-40, meaning it has an SAE viscosity rating of 10 in cold temperatures and a rating of 40 at normal operating temperature. Always check your vehicle's owner's manual to verify that this is the correct weight of motor oil for your vehicle.

Conventional Motor Oil

This oil is a conventional motor oil, meaning it is refined from crude oil or petroleum products. Conventional motor oils may or may not have additives included after refining. Conventional motor oils are more versatile than synthetic or hybrid motor oils, because they are suitable for use with nearly all types of modern vehicle engines, from cars and trucks to motorcycles, ATVs, farm equipment, and more.

Racing Oil

Racing oils are designed for track cars and other types of high-compression vehicles intended for motorsports competition. They contain particular additives for increased engine horsepower and reduced friction on metal parts, and provide special protection for engines with high compression or higher horsepower. Racing oils usually include fewer detergents than regular conventional motor oils.

Please note that many, if not all, oils labelled as racing oils are not street legal, and it is not recommended to put racing oil in a conventional passenger vehicle. Make sure to double-check the product label as well as the specifications of your vehicle to ensure proper usage.

Best By Far!
I have been riding for 38 years. I know bikes and I've tried all the oils. Mobile 1 V-Twin 20w-50 makes my 2008 Softail Custom run smoother, quieter, and 15 degrees cooler than the Harley oil that came in the bike new. I change it every 5000 miles and it looks nearly as clean coming out as it did going in. It doesn't blacken or break down in the 100+ degree Texas heat with me riding it like I stole it! It's worth every penny and then some!!!

Very Impressive Motorcycle Oil !!!
Learned about this V-Twin Oil at the '08 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Toured the Mobil display Semi-trailer and got all the scoup and Mobil's sale pitch. I must admit I was somewhat skeptical until I returned home and talked to the Harley dealer. You guessed it... They recommended to only use Harley oil, until I visited a non-Harley motorcycle shop that sells Amsol. [...].I use Mobil for many other applications on the farm in Nebraska and have found it to be a superior oil. Can't save money on cheap oil. That's my theory. Believe it or not, I think my bike runs cooler on this oil. Call me a dreamer, I'm convinced and impressed.

Ask your dealership first!
Yesterday I took my brand new V Star 950 Tourer in for first service at 600 miles. I supplied my own K&N oil filter (which I purchased from Amazon.com) for the oil/filter change. The service manager said Ok they would use it. In fact, he informed me that they sold the same K&N filters right there at the dealership.Later that day, as I was checking out and paying the bill, the dealership owner made a snide remark about my using a second rate K&N filter and implied that it could result in denial of a warranty claim if I had engine problems.Well after I got home and thought about it I wrote Mr. Dealer a concise e-mail to let him know that his comment disturbed me so much that unless he provides me a written affirmation that using a K&N oil filter CANNOT and WILL NOT affect any potential future warranty claims that I will CANCEL my 48-month Yamaha Extended Service plan and get a refund. I have 30 days to do that and receive a full refund (minus a small admin fee)...

K&N oil filter
As with everything else that K&N does, these oil filters are great. You'll love the integral nut, on the back end, for removal when you next need to change it. A little bit more expensive than what you can get at Walmart or some auto parts stores, but well worth it. Think about what your time is worth, and the mess you save in not needing to wrestle with an oil filter that doesn't want to come off.

Royal Purple max cycle oil
I have been using royal purple for about twelve thousand miles now. I used castrol R4T prior and had a noisy transmission when i shifted gears. Switched to Royal Purple no more noice. I will probably use this the rest of the time i have this bike. Yes i recommend it to my friends.

Honda Shadow VT750C2 2009
Good brand. Consumer version of a popular racing oil. I use this for summer and 10W30 for winter. More expensive than other brands but you are paying for peace of mind. One of the top brands in terms of wear test. I use this brand in my truck too. If you want the cheaper ones just make sure you change oil regularly.

Great filter for the Yamaha R1
The KN-303 filter is what is used on my 2005 Yamaha R1. The filter has a 17mm lug on the top, which makes installation really easy. There is limited space between the filter and the headers, so being able to use an end wrench to install it is very nice. This saves having to have a special filter wrench for the OEM style filters. It also has a little hole where you can safety wire it for when you go to the track. Very nice filter.

GL1500-GL1800
The product from K&N is excellent. It has beaten most of the filters that compete against it in head to head studies. The KN303 is made for the GL1500, 1988 to 2000, but what many rides of newer GL1800's may not realize, it fits their bikes also. The K&N designed for the GL1800, KN204 is shorter and has less filter area. The KN303 is a perfect fit for those wanting to have a little more filter area and still having excellent filtering properties.

Oil Change made easy
I ordered these for my 2005 Yamaha SX230HO instead of using Yamaha OEM filters. I like these better since they have the 17mm fitting at the bottom which makes removing a piece of cake with a socket instead of a oil wrench. I would think these are better filters too.
